Concierto en el Colón

Mi historia de amor con el Teatro Colón continua (más sobre ella en próximos posts). El domingo que estuvo papá de visita nos fuimos a ver un concirto de Violonchelos Argentinos. Un lujo la función que fue gratuita. El asunto es conseguir las entradas ya que hay que ir el viernes a las 10 de la mañana a retirarlas, papá se encargo de eso. Como sea acá los dejo con algunas fotos del teatro. 

My love affair with the Teatro Colón continues. In June I went with dad to a concert, Violonchelos Argentinos, a cello octet. It was beautiful!!! The theater sound is just great and i love the building. The concert was free and dad took care of getting the tickets Friday morning. I could never make it since the theater is on the opposite side of the city from work. Here some pictures from the theater. You are not allowed to take pics during the concert :( 

 

 

 

 

Asado TC&C y presentación Cuentos de la Abadia de Carfax 3

Aún intentando ponerme al día. El Asado de invierno del Taller de Corte y Correción fue en mayo. Se presentó el libro Cuentos de la Abadia de Carfax 3. Un libro hermoso y para poner los pelos de punta :) Tengo el privilegio de conocer a varios de los ecsritores publicados :) En la foto Claudia Cortalezzi, la encargada de seleccionar los cuentos.

Still trying to catch up :) The Asado was on May and as usual we had a great time. The occasion was also used to present the book Cuentos de la Abadia de Carfax 3. Great book of which I'm honored to know most of the short stories writers. On the picture is Claudia Cortalezzi who was the one to pick the stories and create the book anthology.

Casamiento Valeria y Cristian en Tres Arroyos

En realidad estoy escribiendo esto el 13 de Julio :P Se me fue pasando el tiempo!!! Y estas fotos tienen ya un poquito más de dos meses. Más vale tarde que nunca y como resulta que en estos dos meses tengo más que contar por lo pronto primero lo atrasado y después nos movemos para adelante, no? El lugar es Tres Arroyos, el motivo es el casamiento de mi prima Valeria y Cristian. Así que disfruten de un clásico casamiento argento. 

I'm actually writing this on July 12th. Time sure flies by. The pictures are 2 months old but I decided to go ahead and post them since there are other stuff going on on I want to post about later and it's better to start from the beginning I guess. Anyways the pictures location is Tres Arroyos  and the event was my cousin wedding.

Donde se hizo la fiesta. La verdad es que el salón estaba precioso y la noche acompaño. hacia mucho que no visitaba Tres Arroyos y al menos el centro de la ciudad esta hermoso.

This is were the party/reception was held. It had been years since last time I visited Tres Arroyos and the downtown has just been renovated and looked just gorgeous. The reception venue was great too!

Random y Feria del Libro

Una vez más comienzo la entrada diciendo "Hace rato que no escribo" pero la verdad es que después de las vacaciones la rutina del trabajo me atrapó y aunque por suerte los findes son generalmente entretenidos hace un tiempo que no tenia ganas de sacar fotos y la verdad es que si no tengo fotos me da fiaca escribir acá. 

One more time I start the entry saying "It's been a long time since the last time I wrote here" but truth is that after summer vacation work got intense and although I can always enjoy the weekends and I even went once or twice back to Bahia Blanca I was not in the taking pictures mood and if I do not have pictures then I just don't feel like writing here. 

Las primeras dos fotos son random... La primera es cáculo un Progenie III, el mejor espumante que vengo probando :) La segunda es un día de verano que me inspire con los colores en las uñas.

First two pictures are random. The first one is more likely a champagne (or should we say now sparkling wine?) called Progenie III. It's my favorite so far. The second is just a summer day when I felt inspired with colors :P

 

Las que siguen son del finde pasado cuando fuimos después del Taller a la Feria del Libro a acompañar a Marcelo que firmaba sus libros allí. Aca estamos haciendo la cola para entrar. Pablo, Loli y Miguel.

Next set are from last weekend. We went to La Feria del Libro (Book Fair?) Anyways it's a huge event that goes on for 2 weeks and were all publishers have stands and present new books and you can meet authors and other things... Long story short we were there because Marcelo (my Creative Writing Workshop director) was going to sign his books. First picture while standing in line to get in with Pablo, Loli and Miguel.

Sábado de spa

Ayer nos juntamos con Maria Elena y Mariela. Fuimos a un spa y después a almorzar. fue un mimo que nos debiamos para empezar el año llenas de energia :) Algunas fotos del almuerzo con la infaltable auto foto :) Que lindo que la pasé!!! LA idea es repetir la salida cada tanto.

Yesterday I went with my friends to a spa and then for lunch. It was something we decided to do to start the year full of energy :) A few pictures from lunch. I have a grea time and I hope we can do it more often. It's so nice to pumper yoursef now and then...

Esteban en BA (de día!!!)

El domingo pasado Esteban estuvo de paso antes de tomar su vuelo de vuelta a USA. Tomamos mate, comimos facturas y después salimos a caminar unas dos horitas casi :) Acá algunas fotos de la caminata y de Esteban en Buenos Aires de día :P

Last Sunday Esteban stopped by while making time for his flight back to USA. We Hang out at home and then went out for a long walk before lunch. It was nice to catch up and talk about my pathetic love life :P A few pics of the walk.

Barakeando con las chiquis

El finde pasado nos juntamos con las chicas del Taller Literario, aunque la única que esta yendo ahora soy yo. Es lindo ver y saber que nuestra amistad trascendió los sábados después del taller, y el sábado pasado fue una reafirmación de ello. Me da alegria tener amigas tan talentosas como ellas :)
El lugar de encuentro fue la terraza de Baraka en dónde al principio nos cocinamos un poco pero que se puso linda una vez que bajo el sol.

Last weekend I got together with my friends from the Creative Writing Workshop (from now on CWW, I'm tired of wrting that in English every time...). Anyways although I'm the only one now going to the CWW our friendship has transcended the usual lunch after the class and I'm lucky to have such talented women among my friends.
As usual we got together at Baraka, most exactly its terrace. We kinda melt at the beginning but once the sun was down enough the place was great to talk and catch up.
