Nuevo corte de pelo!!!

Granted my hair does not look like that now since I can not style it as nicely as my hairdresser, but it still looks awesome. And is the perfect cut for the summer!!!

Obvio que mi pelo no se ve asi ahora ya que no se peinarlo tan bien como Iván, pero igual esta muy copado el corte. Lo quenecesitaba para pasar el verano!!!

Tucumán: Volviendo de Tafí

Última tanda de fotos de Tucumán. El viaje de vuelta desde Tafí fue tranquilo, aunque en un momento quedamos parados en el camino porque habia un lugar con desprendimientos :S

The trip back from Tafi to Tucumán was ok except for the 1/2 hour or so that we were stopped in the road because there were rocks falling to the road (fun times!).

Back to the yunga. De nuevo en la selva

Desde aqui fui directo al aeropuerto donde tuve la suerte de que justo habia un vuelo saliendo para BA con lugar, asi que me libre de esperar 3 hs ahi :D.

From here I wennt straight to the airport I was so lucky that when I got there they were announcing a flight to BA and I was able to get into that one instead of waiting at the airport for 3 hs until my scheduled flight :)

Tucumán: Tafí del Valle

El domingo me la pase descansando. A la noche fuimos a comer con los chicos pero tranquis, estabamos todos muy cansados. El lunes amaneció medio lluvioso y nublado pero igual me hice la excursión hasta Tafí del Valle. El pueblito en si no es la gran cosa, pero el viaje hasta ahi vale la pena.

Sunday was a lazy day, we just got together for dinner but went to bed early since we were all tired from the party :). Monday was cloudy and rainy but I still went to Tafí del Valle. the little town is not a big deal, but the surroundings and the trip to there are worthwhile.

Primera parada: Ruinas de San José de Lules pertenecientes a los Jesuitas, quienes introdujeron el cultivo de la caña de azúcar en la provincia, actividad continuada en 1821 por el Obispo Colombres; la iglesia y el convento fueron declarados Monumento Histórico Nacional.

First stop: "Ruinas de San José de Lules”, which belonged to Jesuits, who brought forth the sugar cane cultivation into the province, an activity continued by the Colombres Bishop in 1821; the church and the convent were declared National Historic Monument.

The road towards Tafi is uphill, and sorrounded by the "yunga" as the people from Tucumán call the forest on the sierras.

El camino a Tafí desde Tucumán es cuesta arriba por un caminito en el medio de la Yunga que es la forma en que los tucumanos llaman a la selva en las sierras.

Embalse La Angostura. Note how the landscape has changed. We are already too high for the yunga. Vieron como cambio el paisaje, ya estamos muy alto para la yunga.

En El Mollar estan lso menhires indigenas. En los 70s el gobierno militar los saco de sus lugares originales y los junto todos en un cerro cerca del embalse para que se vieran desde el camino. Ahora están en un lugar más protegido pero lamentablemente se perdió la ubicación original.

At El Mollar you can visit the Native Menhires. In the 70's the military goverment decided to removed them from their original location to place them all together on a more visible spot close to the water. Now they have been moved again to a more guarded place. Sadly the original location information has been lost.

Visita al Museo La Banda, donde tuve una visita guiada personalizada. La casona original era de los jesuitas y cuando los sacan de Tucumán la casa paso a ser parte de una familia de alcurnia. El museo es realmente muy interesante y la casona y capilla valen la pena ver.

I could not find an english link for this museum. The house complex (casona) was originally built by the jesuits and later on ended up owned by a wealthy family. Inside there are archeological artifacts from the original cultures moving up in history until the Spanish occupation and the latest residents of the place. Very interesting visit and the place is just gorgeous.

Tucumán: casamiento Lisan y Adri

Sábado a la noche fue el casamiento. Fui testigo :) El salón estaba hermoso, la comida de primera y lo más importante, los novios felices y disfrutando!!!

The wedding was Saturday night. The place was dreamy, the food top notch and most importantly, the newly wed were happy and having fun!!!

Dancing time!!! The music started and did not stop until 6 in the morning. La música empezó y no paró hasta las 6 de la mañana ( más, yo me fui a dormir a las 5 jejeje)

Tucumán: Casa Histórica de la Independencia

Después de visitar el parque volví al centro y entre a la Casa Histórica o Casita de Tucumán como le decimos nosotros :) No te dejan sacar fotos dentro de la casa en si, pero al menos podes sacar fotos en los patios.

After the park I went back downtown and visit the "Casa de Tucumán" They do not allow pictures inside the house but you can take as many as you want outside. The patios are really nice!
