Viajando en el tiempo/ Blast from the past

Hola!!!
Hace unos fines de semana me encontré con Marcelo y fue tan buena onda de scanear estas fotos. Las fotos son del glorioso viaje en el Duna al Sur. Fuimos a los Glaciares, después a Ushuaia y a la vuelta paramos en Península Valdes. Esta foto que sigue es en Punta Tombo, con Marcelo. Y si, la del gorro soy yo :) De fondo pueden ver los pingüinos.

So a few weeks back I met Marcelo and he was kind enough to scan these pictures. They were taken in January 1999 in our glorious trip to the Glaciars, Ushuaia and Peninsula Valdés (all in 2 weeks and driving a Fiat Duna) It was an awesome trip. Next picture was taken in Punta Tombo you can see the penguins in the background. Marcelo and me, check out my "camping style" fashions.

Acá con Facundo, éramos nosotros tres viajando juntos y la verdad es que nos llevamos muy bien. Fue mi segundo viaje con Facundo. La foto esta sacada en el Perito Moreno, una vez más mi facha es impresentable :D

On this next picture I'm with Facundo. It was my second trip with him. We were just the three of us traveling together and we got along great. The picture was taken in the Perito Moreno and I almost did not recognize myself there lol.

The fourth member of the group was the car, we spend lots of time there and in our way back we did not have time to camp so we would just stop at a gas station and sleep there inside the car. I am not sure when or how the car ended up so filthy, it was crazy stuff and by the end a running joke :P

EL cuarto miembro del grupo del viaje fue el auto. El Duna se la re banco pero no se cuando ni como empezo a convertirse en un pequeño basurero :) En el viaje de vuelto literalmente vivimos en el auto por tres días y creo que para ese entonces el hecho que el auto estuviera tan mugriento era nuestro chiste interno. Por suerte marcelo saco las fotos, si no nadie lo cree.

Hola!!!
Bueno, la última entrega por el momento. Todo esta volviendo a la normalidad y a la rutina de siempre, pero vere de intentar postear aunque sea fotos de caminatas o ropa o lo que sea :)

So the last post after so long... things are going back to normal, but I hope to keep making posts now and then with pics from my favorites places or my walks or whatever.

Mike estuvo de visita en Buenos Aires por un Congreso. Se la pasó encerrado en la Conferencia en el Sheraton en dónde le robaron por la conección de Internet y las comidas. Nos vimos la noche antes que se fuera asi que fuimos a comer asado. Al menos para que tuviera una tipica comida argentina :) Conozco a Mike de mis años en Baltimore, hicimos varias materias juntos y compartimos un par de noches sin dormir para terminar trabajos. Fue bueno ver a Mike y ponernos al día.

So Mike was vsisting Buenos Aires because of a Conference. He spent most of the time inside the Conference Hotel, but on his last night here we went out for dinner. He had yet to try Argentinian cooking , so we went for asado as you can see in the pics. It was great to see Mike after so long and get the chance to get up to date :) I met Mike back at JHU, he was a sophomore or junior at the time and we were taking some classes together. We spend more than one allnighter trying to get projects done in time :P

Spring is coming (actually I'm writing this on September 23rd, so Spring is here) . The parks are nice and I really like the weather now... It will get hot a humid soon enough.

Llegó la primavera y has que aprovechar antes que empiece a hacer calor y ya no se pueda estar afuera :)

Going back...

Autofoto una vez terminada de empacar la 'última valija :) En realidad guarde casi todo la noche anterior, pero termine de lavar alguna ropa y demás antes de irme cosa de no tener que llegar y lavar ropa. El bolso azul como siempre resurgió a la vuelta.

Self-portrait picture after packing everything... Y wait until almost last minute so I could wash all my clothes except the ones I was going to travel with :) That way I didn't have to wash a thing after my arrival. Once again the blue bag made its appearance :) my backup second "suitcase".

Camping at the airport. Acampando en el aeropuerto. Esta fue mi primer espera, para cuando llegue a Dulles y tuve que esperar 6hs ya no tenia ganas de sacar fotos. This one was in Boston by the time I got to Dulles and had to wait there 6 hs I was not in the mood for pics...

Baltimore III

Ok, no todo en Baltimore fue babearme con Francisquito... También conoci a Adam :) El sábado a la noche vinieron los chicos a la casa de Frank y estuvimos charlando, jugando juegos de mesa y pasando un momento excelente. Fue la verdad un placer.

So not everything was around Francisquito during my Baltimore visit ;) I also met Adam. He's a cutie too!!! Saturday night the guys stopped by at Frank's place and we had a great time talking, eating, drinking (much less than before) and playing board games. I had a blast.

Baltimore II

Probablemente debería haber llamado a este post "Francisco Ethan" :) Pero como venía numerando decidi seguir asi. Es genial que chiquitito que es Francisco cuando lo tiene Frank y que grande cuando lo sostengo yo :D La verdad es que una dulzura de bebé.

I should had probably named this post "Francisco Ethan", but I decided to keep the numbered theme. Anyways, I found funny how he looks so tiny when Frank hold him and so big when I do :) He's such a sweet baby.

Baltimore I

Hola :)

El segundo (y último) finde que estuve en USA fui de visita a Baltimore. No pude encontrarme con mucha gente porque la verdad es que no avise con mucho tiempo. Pero el objetivo principal fue cumplido :) Conocí a Francisquito y a Adam! Fue un finde de familia, con Frank y Kristen que una vez más me hicieron sentir como en casa.

My last weekend in US I went to Bmore to visit some friends. I gave a short notice so I was not able to meet everyone but I was able to accomplish the main objective, to meet Adam and Francisco! Frank and Kristen made me feel at home as always. We spend most of the time at home hanging out and it was great!!!

Homemade pancakes, how about that for make you feel super welcomed??? Pancakes caseritos, la mejor forma de hacerte sentir bienvenida :)

Tres semans de verano

The first weekend I was in Manchester I just went shopping and relax. The weather was gorgeous, not too hot and there was a nice a cool breeze now and then. ideal to work on my tan.

El primer finde que estuve en Manchester me relaje y lo único que hice fue salir de compras y tomar sol. Los días estaban ideales, no mucho calor y una brisa fresquita cada tanto.

Hola!!!
Se que ha pasado mucho tiempo, pero por una cosa u otra me he colgado con el blog. Creo que el problema es que no habia mucho para decir, pero viene la primavera y los cambios se huelen en el aire y con ello las nuevas aventuras y la nueva actitud.. O al menos eso espero. Lo más importante que ha pasado en los últimos meses fue un viajecito de tres semanas a USA por trabajo. Si lees este blog me conoces y no tengo que explicar el por qué el viaje fue más que importante. Por suerte todo salio bien :)

I know it has been a while but the truth is that there was not much going on... But the Spring seems to bring winds of change and I can feel it now. The biggest thing going on the last few months was a trip to USA (work related). There were three weeks but you know how important it was traveling there for me. Everything went well and now I can breathe again.

Starting with the trip journal, here is my rental car. It was a great car with both automatic and "manual" transmission. I really love to drive in the US.

Comenzando el Diario del Viaje aqui unas fotos del auto que me dieron en el trabajo. Estaba muy lindo, con caja manual y automática. La verdad es que me encanta manejar en US.
