Starbucks en Argentina

Hello All!!!
Well, Starbucks has arrived to Buenos Aires, it was a boom the first weeks but now it seems it has settled. Anyways today we went ther with Tato and I got kinda nostalgic, I missed those quick trips to the Starbucks in Baltimore (exit 10) with Kat. I got a tall TAZO calm tea (no more coffee for me) and then we sit out, it was chilly but not too bad. The first pic is in the line to order, the second one is outsice with my "I'm burning my hand so the logo shows, please take the pic fast" face :P
Finally Tato with his Grande coffee with tons of sugar hahaha.

Bueno, finalmente fui al Starbucks que abrió en Buenos Aires. Me dio mucha nostalgia, los recuerdos de tardes pasadas en el de Baltimore con Kat. Me pedi mi tecito TAZO calm, el mismo que empecé a pedir allá dps que tuve que dejar de tomar café. Bueno, las fotos: 1) en la linea esperando para pedir el café 2) afuera tomando el té y con mi cara de "me estoy quemando para mostrar el logo, sacá la foto rapido!!!!" 3) Tato disfrutando su café con mucha azucar (nota mental, con 5 sobrecitos alcanza)

 

 

 

It has been a weird weekend, I got kinda nostalgic yesterday and today... Good thing Tato was around and I could hang out with him :) I got one story done but it was all messed up, basically it does not have conflict or anything, there is something missing. Need to keep trying. Oh well, enough :) I can not complain, next Saturday there is a great party going on, so it would be fun!!! And I have left some luggage that I was carrying, so it's good :P

Sofía y como siempre una guasada de comida en lo de Facu

La primera foto es solo para demostrar lo zarpadas que son las veladas en lo de Facu y Mariela. Esta es la sección postres, 3 kilos de helado y una torta "livianita" de mousse de limón (excelente por cierto!) Lo más comico es la cantidad de comensales... CINCO!!!!! En fin, demos gracias a la existencia del freezer!
Hacia un tiempo que no veia a los chicos y Sofia crece como loca, ya se rie!!! como demuestra la foto que le sigue :) no veo la hora que llegue el veranito para empezar a abusar de su pileta y parrila :P jejejeje No tenian ni idea lo que hacian cuando compraron la casa!!!!!

So these pics are from 2 weeks or so ago.. we had a small summer in the middle of winter (and then they say there is no climate change...) Anyways I stopped by Facundo and Mariela's place, they have a nice house now with "parrilla" and small pool. It's nice to sit outside. Anyways I got there for the dessert and as usual the amount of food was just crazy. Three kg of ice-cream (more like gelatto style is here) and a lemon mousse pie (see picture). You may wonder how many of us were there. A grand total of FIVE!!!!!!
Second pic is Sofia, Facundo and Mariela daughter, she looks cuter and cuter everytime :) I can not wait for summer time to go there during the weekends and abuse their hospitality hahaha. I'm sure they did not have an idea on what there were getting into when they got that house ;P

Mercado de Pulgas

Hola Hola!!!!
Ok, the pics are two weeks old, but I get lazy sometimes. These are from the "flee market" in Buenos Aires. They have tons of interesting stuff, although not so cheap, some are quite expensive... Anyways, I went there with family to see around, it was fun.

Las fotos ya tienen dos semanas y son en el Mercado de Pulgas en Buenos Aires. Esta bueno, hay cachivaches y cosas lindas, baratas y para nada baratas :) Fuimos con Lucho y flia, Mariana, Chichín, Celeste y flia. La pasamos lindo.

BTW, that's my new haircut :) Yep, short again hehehe. Mi nuevo corte de pelo, corto otra vez.

Mayra dulces 33 :P

So I was not in the taking pictures mood.. that happens sometimes :) It was Mayra's Bday, we had a nice time, so a pic with the cake (it was a lemon pie) and the a pic with Flor. I was really tired so after that I went to sleep instead of dancing.. I AM getting old. BTW I cut my hair.

Mariana en Buenos Aires

Hace ya casi dos semanas mariana estuvo de visita en Buenos Aires. me gusta tener pensionistas en casa, sobre todo cuando hacen su vida :P Aca algunas fotitos de su estadia. En la primera esta con Franco, que como siempre no quiere saber nada de fotos.
En la segunda foto Lucho con Julia que ahi estaba empezando a caminar (ahora ya se larga sola!!!) Esta divina la mocosa :) Por ultimo Mariana con Julia.

 

 

 

A few weeks ago my cousin was visiting and staying at my place, I love to have people staying over here, besides she's independent so it's not like I need to show the city around (I was working...) Anyways some family pics, Mariana and Franchi (her nephew), then Lucho and Julia (already walking!!!!) and finally Mariana and Julia. To give you an idea, Mariana and Lucho are siblings, Julia and Franchi are Lucho's daughter and son.

More post later.. I'm at home with a flu, bored to death.

El General "1945-1955"

La Argentina da para todo, eso ya lo sabemos y en Buenos Aires todo se concentra, es una cuestión estadistica. No debería haberme sorprendido encontrar este bar/restaurant dedicado a "El general" o que el mismo fuera en realidad dedicado al general modelo 1945-1955. la memoria selectiva de los argentinos, el general no existió en los 70 y ni hablar de Isabelita :P En fin, asi estamos y asi seguimos. la proxima entro y pruebo la "parrillada al parqué"

I can not translate this without going into a small Argentinian history lesson... Let's just say this is a thematic restaurant all about Peron and Evita. The funny thing is that they do not mention at all Peron last presidency (in the 70s) or his widow and then vice president Isabelita. We have a powerful selective memory we Argentinians. I guess that's why we are so screw up.

Holy cow!!! I'm 33

Y si, tenían que llegar :) al menos capicúa, asi que puede traer suerte. Aunque ultimamente estoy viendo la vida con el espejito rosa o al menos el transparente, asi que no me quejo. como corresponde no hice nada para mi cumpleaños, no me gusta. Creo que es más porque soy una vaga y me da fiaca tener que encontrar un lugar para hacer algo o meter mucha gente en el depa.. En fin, la misma antisocial de siempre. Ahora, que no haya hecho gran celebración gran no significa que no la haya pasado bien.

Fue muy lindo recibir mensajitos, mails, llamadas de todos lados :) Y el miercoles nos juntamos en lo de Tato con Gonzalo (los tres) para comer, ponernos al dia y pasarla lindo. Me regalaron un saquito re-lindo los chicos! Gonzalo estuvo esta semana que pasó en Buenos Aires para un Congreso, asi que que el finde nos la pasamos juntos (cuando no estaba comprando cosas para su flia). Aca una foto del día de mi cumple.



Fue un finde tranqui pero lindo. Me corté el pelo tal vez un poco demasiado ;) y me compre una cartera gigante cosa de poder llevar al trabajo. (Gracias Má!)

So... I'm 33 WOW I do not even believe it... You are supposed to be an adult by now and I do not quite feel like one. Anyways I didn't make a big party or anything crazy for my Bday, I'm just not big at organizing parties and events.. I can help, but not be THE organizer. So on my BDay I got together with two friends, Gonzalo cooked (see picture), Tato was the host and I just sit and enjoyed :) hahaha

The weekend was not a big deal, although I did get my hair cut (quite) and bought a giant bag that I can take to work. I'm doing ok, kinda positive and that's sometimes scary. I mean, don't get me worng I still have freakish things happening to me, but then I wouldn't be on the twilight zone, would I?

Also thank you everyone for your messages, mails, etc for my Bday :)

These pics are from the last weekend, a CS party celebrating Virginia birthday. It was on a Friday which is kinda a problem for me because I'm tired from the week, I have gym class and on Saturday I have my writing thingie (I should be writing NOW!!). Anyways I decided to go and I did have an awesome time.

Las fotos son del finde pasado. Era una fiesta de CS con motivo del cumple de una de las chicas (Virginia) y la verdad es que la pse de 10 :). Era un viernes lo cual complica un poco las cosas para mi ya que vengo con el cansancio de la semana, más la clase de gimnasia más que el sabado tengo que estar al mediodía yendo al taller Literario. Pero igual fui y la pase genial!!!!

Hello!!!!

So I thought it was worth an entry since I have been following this manga for the past 4/5 years :) We should always thanks for the internets and the beautiful people that gave us scanlations and fansubs!!! Anyways, 2 weeks ago or so the series ended. Inuyasha and its gang defeated Naraku (with Sheshoumaru help) and then Kagome (Si, pueden reirse del nombre. Menos mal que no vive en un país donde se hable castellano) make the Shikon no tama to dissapear!!! YAY!!! But then Inu and Kagome have been separated for 3 years because the well will not connect! so the first scan is when they finally are reunited. The second and third one... well Sheshoumaru is there and I'm just a big fan. And finally the last page of the chapter.

Yep. I'm geeking up here and I can only think of two people that might found this post interesting, so let's hear it!
