Hola,

No saque muchas fotos en Bahia, la familiaridad del lugar no invita a hacerlo a veces... Pero bueno, Bauti se merecia unas fotos :) Esta tan grande!!!! y nunca conoci a un chico que se levantara de tan buen humor de la siesta.

I did not take many pics while I was in Bahia healing my emotional wounds... I guess that everything being so familiar it does not feels like to be photographed. But Bauti deserved a pic, I never met a kid with such great nature. he woke up from his nap and was already smiling :)

With the girls :) Nato is missing because she was sick. Con las chicas antes de salir, nato andaba enfermita :( That was the only night I went out... Saturday night I was coming back to Buenos Aires to get ready to start work and so on. Doing better now (I guess).

El Botanico (revisited)

Ok, this is the last batch from my dad's visit to Buenos Aires :) I make him walk way too much that day, but the day was gorgeous and winter is coming so you need to take advantage of the last nice days. Anyways.. afew pics, nothing relevant to add. I like that there are so many places full of trees where you can walk in BA.

La ultima tanda de la visita con pap'a, aca fue donde casi no puede caminar mas, del botanico nos volvimos caminando hasta casa, asi que llego muerto, pero me encanta que haya un lugar asi en Buenos Aires, donde uno se rodea de verde y se olvida por un minuto que esta en la locura. No hay mucho mas que agregar por ahora.. Es hora de almorzar!!!!

Pelli's tower

Hello All,

So Pelli is a famous argentinean architect and he did the design for this tower in Puerto Madero... It's just beautiful, actually if you look at it from afar it seems to be two buildings. Quite fascinating. They are supposed to place a tree and an park in the middle of the building, inside that " box" with different glass. My dad was really into the building because he had watch a tv documental on it :) It does look great!

Aca algunas fotos de la torre que esta construyendo Pelli. Es imponente y no solo eso, si uno mira desde lejos parece que son dos edificios, tan convencidos estabamos con mi pap'a que le dimos la vuelta completa :) Pa habia visto un documental sobre el edificio asi que sabia detallles como que en esa parte con vidrios de otro color van a poner un jardin interno que va a incluit un arbol grande grande.

Más fotos de Puerto Madero, un poco a las corridas porque ya tengo que salir para el gym... Hoy es lunes 19 de mayo y como todo lunes cuesta arrancar pero en el trabajo las cosas se estan volviendo nuevamente interesantes, asi que hay algo divertido para testear y ver que onda :) jejeje

Sigo con las fotos de la visita de papá a principio de mayo, ya se que muy atrasada, pero de a poco los post van saliendo. Aca mas edificios de otro pais en Puerto Madero más la foto de papá com el monumento a Fangio y a la Flecha de Plata.

So today is actually Monday 19th and I'm running late for the gym, so I'll be brief. These are more pics in Puerto madero sightseeing with my dad :) You can see buildings there that seem from a develop country... sor weird and then you walk a few blocks and have the "villas".. Anyways... It was such a nice day and of course my dad needed his picture with Fangio and his "silver arrow" That's the car nickname, a Mercedes. You can google Fangio, he won 5 F1 championships back in the day. Here is like a national hero, he died more than 10 years ago I think, but it was always a delight to hear him speak.

I'll try to keep updating... work is good and getting interesting again. Now is Monday and I'm already tired, how sad is that? it seems that the weekend is not enough sometimes.

Se nota que es viernes, la verdad es que ya quedan pocas ganas de trabajar y estoy en la cuenta regresiva para rajar de aca e ir a casa a bajar LOST :) Si, la fecha es de cuando subi las fotos y lo deje como borrador, asi que no le hagan caso. Pero bueno, dps del debacle en el aeropuerto tuvimos que implementar vacaciones Plan B, Pap'a (no hay acentos) vino a visitarme y lo hice caminar por todo lo que no camina en Bahia.

Hello :)

First, I'm doing much better... Back in Buenos Aires after a few days at home with family and friends. I'm still feeling bad about Frank's wedding, but what is done is done and I just need to start looking ahead, a feel this is a new start hahaha Am I being an optimistic? Maybe.

Anyways, monday morning I went to work as usual, had to tell I had not gone to USA but everyone was discrete enough. No problems on this front for now. And the it was the surprise!!!! My bro sent me flowers to encourage his crazy sister. Aren't they beautiful??? It also remind me that the last time I got flowers was for my 30th b'day, Matt's present, almost 3 years ago. SAD SAD :P

Bueno, antes que nada aclarar que me siento mejor. Estar en Buenos Aires en mi casa con mis cosas me da un poco de paz, sobre todo despues de lamer las heridas en casa con la flia y con los amigos. Ya vendran las fotos de eso. Cuestion que ayer lunes vine al trabajo, todos fueron muy discretos cuando dije que no habia ido a USA, asi que bien por ese lado :)

Y dps la sorpresa!!!! Andres me mando flores!!!! No es un divino mi hermanito??? Como no pudo comunicarse conmigo y para darme animo en mi primer dia de trabajo "despues de" me mando flores para alegrar el dia. Aca las tengo al lado en el escritorio. Las fotos arriba :)

PhD drop-out

Hi All,

So it´s official now, I made the decision a few weeks back, whne I was struggling with cadence trying to make something of my final project at JHU and I realize I did not have the stamina to keep going... Too much work, too much stress, more than I can handle now in life. So it was decided, the letter sent, the news broken out to Andreas who as always was just as understanding and suppotive as he has been during this whole process... It took me two years to come down to this but now I feel relieved and hopefully I´ll be able to focus on my life in Argentina.

The other thing... I´m writing this from my dad´s apartment. I was not able to go to USA, just could not get on the plane, too many things going on I guess. Now I´m trying to find my center once again, I think I lost it wya back, maybe 4 years ago and I just keep fighting, maybe is time to stop fighting and see where am I, what do I actually want for life. Part of that is to close some options and make choices that place me here. I need my roots, maybe this is the more unstable place to set roots, but at the same time it does feel right. No regrets so far.

The only regret is not being at Frank´s wedding, not seeing the guys in CA... But hopefully there will be a time when I do feel better and whole and I can go and be the one I used to, don´t feel like myself most of the time.

Anyways, feeling much better at home now, visiting friends and family. I´ll be back in BA on Sunday morning, let´s see how things go from there. One step at the time, I just want to be back with my routine and at work.
